Botanical Shop by Rizoma

Inhotim is known worldwide for its contemporary art collection. A lot of the visitors, however, go to Inhotim to see the botanical collection, one of the biggest in the world. Noticing the interest of the public, a Botanical Shop was proposed, in order to sell plants and garden utensils.

The shop is simply an opened shelter to keep the products protected from the weather. It consists of four elements only: two service boxes and two walls. The walls articulate the interior selling spaces and, at the same time, they articulate the exterior with the interior. The openness of the building invites the visitors and emphasizes the products in display.
